Here's 10 players Hurney allowed to walk for more money elsewhere that would have stayed here if they could "screw over" so easily.

Mushing Muhammad

Will Witherspoon

Desahuan Foster

Ricky Manning Jr

Marlon Mcree

Doug Evans

Marlon Mcree

Richard Marshall

James Anderson

Travelle Wharton

A google search would surely yield more but I had a free second to address this myth.

Hurney also almost always came out ahead on player trades.

Greg Olsen for a third

Salvaged a third out of Kris Jenkins who wanted our

Al Wallace for jay Williams.

Where Hurney went wrong was by not having the balls or authority to Can Fox after the 08 meltdown. Then from their on he made horrible draft day trades that mortgaged the future as he was trying to save his job and failed. He earned his firing, so that's water under the bridge. But this myth about him overpaying everyone is silly and all because JR decided to tank the 2010 season and let almost all of our best players hit free agency at the same time.

Let me destroy your poor opinion in a few words. "Some people are not content with just money but the wrong players are" . Also trying to make Hurney sound like he was good at trading anything is laughable. So start agian kid and do better.

Black & Blue Review @BlackBlueReview

@tongbb3 @wes_mur FWIW, I’ve covered this team since ‘05, and I don’t know anyone who was as disliked as much as him inside the building.

So who is he discussing?

If you've read his Twitter, you probably already know.

If you don't, care to hazard a guess?

Without peeking--Steve Smith (If I am right, I will tell you why I think so)

It's Deangelo Williams and it is not at all surprising. He did some great things for us, and even greater things for a lot of people outside of football...

But he seems like one of the most petty people I've ever seen with how he has been since his release from here.

We were at an OTA when DW was a rookie--my son asked him to sign his Panther helmet.  He told him, "I can't until I am under contract."  Richard Marshall heard him--, in front of Williams, "That is not true. Do you want me to sign it?"  Deangelo looked back sarcastically and laughed, walking away from us.

That's terrible. Makes me want to take my 34 jersey to the GFC.

None of these events were publicized so I'm not sure what he gained from hanging around with a bunch of fans? It would be one thing if he invited the media to attend, but he didn't... I think he generally enjoyed connecting with fans on a personal level.

Not sure if things changed, but I can tell you he was so disliked in 2008 that virtually the entire offense showed up to one of these non-publicized fan events and mingled, signed autographs, played laser tag, etc...

Not trying to change anyone's mind or defend DeAngelo, just sharing some perspective based on my personal experiences.

His cornhole tournaments were very publicized

I had to remind myself after this post, that my son later bought a 34 (China: High quality, low price, friend) Jersey online and wore it to a practice.  DW smiled and went to him.  I hate to pick out one thing and judge him on it.  I forgot about the nice gesture, but remembered the jerk gesture.  I can only imagine what it is to be a rookie at OTAs, so maybe he was being hazed or something.
