So what do we do if we do not pay him. What is are alternative?  We can pray that Butler becomes the pick he was meant to be that he hasn't even shown flashes of yet.  What do we do with this extra money that we didn't spend? Try to sign another player like KK who will also want to be paid appropriately?  Good luck to us with all these other teams that also have massive cap space.

I want to resign him, but not at 17 a year. If that's the case, sign JPP, draft Barnett or Thomas and get another DT in the draft. That would give us production in the pass rush and overall improve the DL.
