Rivera said he's not in a big hurry to fill out the staff. Wants to find coaches who have the right personality to be good fits.

So I guess if we choose Mike Shula 2.0 to be one of our other coaches, I guess he'll blame that on "missed opportunities?"

RR also said the staff has done its interviews for job openings and decision coming soon. Guys have approached him here too, of course.

It did not seem that RR wanted to find coaches here, tho (some do). Sounds like they just need to meet as a staff to finalize candidate.

It seemed he wants staff together to make decision. Staff has been split between Shrine Game and here.

 

Good to hear that guys have approached him wanting to coach here. I'm not so up on the staff choices being a "community decision".  I've never heard of a head coach deferring to his staff on who he should hire.

this is the same way this team is managed by dave. everyone has a voice. ron is gonna make the final call, but everyone will get to share their opinion. 

why would we want a guy who wilks hates or washington can't work with?

also, the majority of this staff has been together for like 4-6 years. they're probably pretty tight.
