Lack of parity in the NBA.

Our team is solid and can compete with anyone in the regular season, but we all know that it most likely will come down to Cleveland and Golden State.

 

Unless you have that superstar, who also attracts other star players, it's just hard to compete.

That's basically it. Why watch 90 something games a year only to watch your team lose to Lebron in the first or second round?

Crazy enough, people will still watch because boss people love the players and not the teams.  Unlike weird people, which try to have allegencies to teams.  Which is useless in the NBA at this point.

This game is frustrating. When Kemba and Batum out there we have barely any offense. The ball movement tends to fall off I think.

That's the issue with the NBA.  It's been like that for a while, but it's really bad now.   At least in the 80's and 90's most teams had at least a superstar.   Now, if you aren't one of the 3-4 top teams you know you aren't going to make it, it's just not happening.  The last "Cinderella" NBA team I remember pushing was the Pistons under Larry Brown.   It's really hard to get over this fact.

I guess Golden State drafted well and Curry took a huge leap, but we are so lackluster at drafting I fear we will never get there.

Kemba is our best drafted player on the team easily, with Cody next IMO, MKG third due to injuries.

I mean that just isn't going to get it done.

Yup, it's tough.  And i've watched the least amount of games this year than I have in as long as I can remember.  The Panthers' season had some carryover for me, so that played into it.  After watching how the refs crapped on is against the Cavs, yet again, and then again when we played Toronto that same week, I stopped looking forward to the games.  Anytime we play a superstar, we are also playing against the refs, and it has just gotten old.  

I'malways going to be a diehard fan for our homestate teams, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm complicit in rigged outcomes.

I used to be a huge NBA fan growing up but like someone else said, why play/watch 90 some odd games just to see your team lose to Lebron in the 1st or 2nd round.

I've watched more games than usual this year since the Panthers wasted their year.

We are a fun team to watch, but we are just so inconsistent, particularly with defense this year.

Players need to be given ratings or letter grades and teams should not be allowed to put more than 2 of the top teir players on the same team unless drafted. No trades and no free agency signings to build super teams. Thats the only way the league will ever be fair

I think they should hit "reset" every three years.  I know they wouldn't do it or exactly how it would work but more or less standardize the pay scale and redraft the whole league every three years.  Then you get paid based on where you were picked.  The rookie draft would a separate draft.  Both drafts would be a complete even chance lottery system so teams wouldn't feel the need to tank. Maybe you could keep one or two players that wouldn't be eligible for the redraft but it would have to be guys you brought in as rookies.

I didn't like the Hornets' offseason and well so far I think I was justified. Pathetic team and used up a lot of cap space to accomplish it. Man oh man what could of been had we drafted well and if the NBA had not given the AD pick to N.O. They should of at least kept Lin and Lee.

I get being frustrated, and certainly we shouldn't lose to the Knicks, and Kings in back to back games, but it's a long ass season in the NBA.

Beyond the obvious of questioning moves by the Hornets brass, the NBA in general is going to have to do something soon about parity on a very basic level. It's out of control.
