There are no excuses for Gettleman this year

Number 8 in each round and money for free agency

The  needs of this team are very obvious

i dont care how he does it, but he needs to fix it.

He has ignored a solution at LT since  Gross departed

...and no Oher is not the answer and we don't need to talk about Remmers.

If he could package a 4th round pick for a punter, he could have packaged picks for a LT

Regardless, if Howard, or Fournette, or Cook are there at 8 he needs to take them, this offense is totally anemic not helped by his two WRs who seem to not be able to get separation from anyone and by the time they do, Newton has had his head taken off.

Olsen isn't  getting any younger and with Hiward, there are the two true tight ends this team has not had since Shockey

...and for the love of god sign a decent fullback

Howard gets media press, the FO says that he looks good and now, all of the sudden, he is a good pick at 8?

By the end of this offseason, y'all will have a 5th rounder as the guy DG HAS to take at 8.

To be fair, I don't think any team actually had him as a second round pick.  Let's be real here.  Or Worley as a 3rd round pick.  Or to trade up for that 3rd round pick.

I followed Worley during the pre-draft process and he had a 3rd - 4th round grade on him mostly throughout. Early on I saw him listed as high as a late 2nd.

When we start talking about "when" we could have gotten a player that becomes dangerous. For example, Gettleman gets whipped pretty good for the Kugbila pick and he even said that he got away with that one because they had a 3rd round grade on AJ Klein but took Kugbila anyways due to a perceived need on the OL. It came back to bite him, but he was able to get Klein in the 5th round. I think that alone says enough. Bradberry had a 2nd round grade from the Panthers more than likely due to the intangibles (attitude, work ethic, locker room fit, SCHEME FIT, etc). Same reason we scooped Shaq in the 1st when some people thought he was a 2nd rounder (or that we didn't need another LB).

Only pick I'm upset about from last year is the Beau Sandland pick and that's only because I got a player-crush on him during the combine. I was super amped that we scooped him, but now him and Bene are chilling on the Green Bay practice squad. T_T

Gentle is so stubborn, sometimes you have to overpay a little to keep a guy away from other teams. Not Charles Johnson style but the Panthers aren't exactly a desireable team to someone who wants to win now. If an extra million or so brakes he bank and makes it impossible for him to still do his GM job maybe he should take that as a sign. Ultimatley, we have to sign guys we draft to big contracts and not everyone is going to want to play for the Panthers for their value when they don't have to, just letting them go because you're too stubborn isn't always the answer.

A year ago the falcons weren't a desirable team to someone that wants to win now. The Panthers have the pieces in place to get back to contention for a title next year as long as this offseason is treated with the utmost importance. We aren't a rebuilding gutter team
