Panthers to promote from within to fill DB Coach job

Indeed.

No offense to Curtis Fuller, but with a group of young corners that'll need a lot of coaching, this is not the way I would have gone.  Not when guys like Ray Horton were out there.

You're talking about the team who gave Ken Dorsey his first qb coaching gig handling one of the best, but raw qbs of this generation.

Ron just wants to be a good guy and liked by everyone.

I hope you are right. Man, I was a lot more confident before 2016. I might get back to there after the draft/FA period.

I lost confidence going into the 16 season with a brand new inexperienced secondary and a first rounder who was never going to be a year 1 starter and not 1 free agent addition to upgrade starting talent.

The 2017 rosters is already better by default as we don't stand to lose as many solid contributors to retirement and free agency. Plus Bradberry/Worley have a year experience now.

Then throw in the best position and  picks we've had in years plus the flexibility in cap space. So this year I see much  more reason for optimism than I ever did in 2016.

Then you remember Rivera and Shula are still "coaching" this team.
