104.3 The Fan rumor. Panthers like McCaffrey at 8.

Nah, he won't make top 10 in any scenario, especially not with us...unless Gettleman really believes that McCaffrey can quickly improve his blocking. That being said, McCaffrey will likely make more of an impact than many guys that are drafted ahead of him. He seems to be a versatile RB-WR hybrid that has the potential to give opposing defensive coordinators fits. He obviously has the pedigree and acumen. He works hard and always does his best (essentially what Bill Belichick said about Tom Brady). While I can't see him being an every-down back, he seems like he would be a nice complimentary piece in the mold of a Danny Woodhead (on steroids).

I've heard some people say that the Pats won't take him if he's there, but I would honestly hate to see McCaffrey in Billy B's hands, and I'm sure that Belichick would salivate at the thought.

I could see Gettleman thinking about McCaffrey in Round 2 depending upon how high he grades him, and pulling the trigger in round 3. McCaffrey will likely be gone by then. It's going to take a team that is committed to making him a part of the regular flow of the game to see him as a high first rounder.

We are not drafting a RB at 8. This class is way too deep and we have too many on our roster.

I don't think the "too many on our roster" excuse works for not getting a RB at 8. Getting a RB in the draft just means cutting Tolbert, CAP, or Fozzy. Or maybe even two of them. Which isn't out of the question.

If somehow we did pick him, would you stop taking up for Gettlemen at that point?

I can see it work. Wouldn't be the worst of picks, but I'd definitely question it.

I'd wait a full season and see how they do. If they work for us, then that's great.

Um yea it does cause its a deep draft. Drafting a RB at 8 with our line is the dumbest poo I have heard in a while. It will be S,WR,OT,TE,or DE. 2nd round RB maybe but not the 1st.

Our line when healthy was a top 3 oline in 2015. Especially in run blocking.

Want me to name the players that played then that are still on the team now? (hint: all of them.)

The only change I see is Remmers. Williams is indefinitely an upgrade, and should get the start.

So theoretically LT may be our only weakness, and we have a better line than 2015.

You were probably one of the many who thought it was the dumbest poo you ever heard to draft a first round LB and DT when we were absolutely stacked at both positions the last two years. If anything Gettlman has shown a propensity to draft 1st round positions that your not expecting in recent memory.
