KK for Berry?

Considering the situation with both franchises could this be made and both win?  Looks more and more like the Panthers will in fact franchise tag KK for around $13.5 mill.  If the Chiefs couldn't find a way to sign Berry a tag is likely coming to him as well in which Berry has already stated.  If both are tagged, would a straight up trade for a tagged Berry for a tagged KK.

Theoretically yes, but it wouldn't ultimately be a great deal for us. An elite pass rushing DT is much more valuable in this league than an elite safety. Just wouldn't happen.

The only thing I've seen Berry say is that he won't play under the tag again. I don't think this is an option.

No. 

If KC wants a DT, they'd just let Berry walk and re-sign Poe. KC plays a 34 D. Poe fits their defense. KK doesn't.

This trade will never happen. The only comparison is in the case that we elect to sign Barry as a free agent and as a result let KK walk.

On Berry having enough value for KK. Pass rushing interior linemen are a premium that 29 other teams would give there first born for! Berry is a great safety don't get me wrong but just not enough to trade KK for!

And Berry's also been hurt a good portion of his career.  Short is a 3 down pass rusher that makes a difference on every single play.  A safety just can't have the same impact every play especially if he's hurt

He'd be a DE in a 3-4, and yes I believe he could do it.

But no, I don't see this happening for a lot of reasons, not the least of which being that since both are free agents, the teams would want contract agreements made before any trade could take place.
