NFL is considering more ejections

Has nothing to do with headhunting and everything to do with giving more power to refs to singlehandedly control the outcome of games.

The only reasonable solution here would be coach penalty flags and reviews on called penalties as well as coaches being able to challenge a play based on legality.

Coaches need more power, not the refs, most of the problems aren't because the refs don't have enough power to act, it's that they make "mistakes." But you don't give the methhead the keys to your house because he says he wants to get better.

Yeah really dumb idea. Star players will be getting thrown out for incidental contact that the ref "misunderstands" as a helmet shot. The solution isn't adding more rules or "being stricter" so to say but enforcing the rules that are already established down the middle. Our games are evidence enough that the refs suck but damn I got tired watching other teams play and see the game decided on either bullshit flags or lack of flags.

If anybody needs to be punished more it isn't the players but these POS refs the league can't get their heads noses out of the asses of. Always an excuse or some convoluted reason why the refs were right. I actually heard the announcers calling it out tons of these obvious blown calls and yet still the league stands behind the refs like idiots.

It was plain to see last year, I don't remember which game it was, but there was a hit to the knees of an opponents QB that drew a flag, Later in the same game the exact same hit was made to Cam's knees and the Ref's picked up the flag.

They can't tell me that Cam wasn't singled out for his comments earlier about being to young to get the call.

Need to treat it like a yellow card --> red card deal.

But first refs need to understand when to enforce equally.

Not holding my breath on that one.

Problem is that refs miss it.  I still say you can put an official in the booth that can't throw flags, but can eject players when they see blatant penalties like blows to the head and the knees.  The reason he needs to be in the booth is he needs to be able to look at replays constantly because he's not needed on the play to play aspect of the game.
