Former Bills FA TE Chris Gragg visiting Panthers

Hmmm......

3 knee injuries since his senior year of college and a 150-yard season is his "best season" to date??  He missed all of the 2016 regular season with a torn ACL. I'm pulling for him to get his career back on track, but I'd much prefer Barnidge if we are trying to upgrade the TE spot.

No, if the OL returns in last year's form.

This.

we have GOT to get more production from the o-line.  It's the key to success.  Keep Defenses off of Cam and our Defense on the QB.

Victory.

I agree that Barnidge is the better option, and the injury problems are a concern.  But in fairness, Gragg played for Buffalo.  In 2015, they were 31st in passing attempts, and he was playing behind Charles Clay, one of the better pass catching tight ends in the league.  No tight end that we might be able to get at this point would have decent numbers at Buffalo.

Oh, I'm not knocking Gragg's numbers so much as I am his injury history. 3 knee injuries in 4 years including one less than a year ago is more of my concern.

I'm just over the mediocre complimentary players we try to pair with Olsen.... Brandon Williams, Ed Dickson, etc. I'd rather look for more of a Shockey/Barnidge type of player for our TE2 and go all-in after this offensive overhaul that we've gone through this offseason.
