I'd agree Lorenzo Neal is probably a better comparison. Howard Griffith would work too.

Alstodt was always more of a large runningback than a true fullback.

Neal is the best fullback I have ever watched.

Would love to have something like him on our roster.

Better than Rathman and Griffith?

(not necessarily disputing, just asking)

I thought he was, he also could be benefitting from having one of the best runningbacks of all time line up behind him in SD.

Well, as I recall, Rathman blocked for Roger Craig (a guy who, in my mind, never gets enough credit)

Yea, that cat was better than he is remembered.

Guy's got three Super Bowl rings and an MVP but when people discuss best all time runningbacks it seems like no one ever mentions him.

That high knee running style of his was so hard to tackle.

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
    • When has it not?     Also, when these starters play physical defense and turn that into transition offense, this team is downright scary.     that felt weird to type.
