reading all this about our back 7 is getting me excited for the season.  So glad to hear Worley making plays.

I never understood why so many were calling him junk?  He's a mid round rookie that had to start right away and held his own the back half of the year.

He is going to be markedly better along with JB.  We got some horses on the outside now.  It's gonna be fun.

Some fans don't seem to understand the concept of player development. If a rookie doesn't set the league on fire in year one, they automatically consider them garbage. In fact, it takes most players a full 3 years to really get it all together.

Honestly, there's only been a handful of posters who remain seriously down on Worley.

The truth of the matter is that he started out last year looking like the hottest trash imaginable, but he steadily improved over the course of the season and managed to play some decent football by the end of the year. The arrow is definitely pointing up, but there seems to be a lot of revisionist history by some on how Worley is viewed.

Not only that but I play in a fantasy football league that has individual defensive players as well and he was a downright monster for me pretty much from the middle of the season on. I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm pretty sure he finished top 7ish in points overall in cornerbacks.

As teams went away from Bradberry and targeted Worley more, he stepped up and made the play way more often than not. If Mike Adams is as advertised I firmly believe our back 7 may be the best we've ever had this upcoming season. If we find a pass rush we're gonna be dangerous as we're making our Super Bowl push.

I was mostly referring to the well known Worley hater @nctarheel0619 who refuses to even acknowledge that Worley has any potential whatsoever and we should do what ever we can to replace him ASAP.

I'll leave that can of worms closed but that doesn't excuse anybody to pick on a rookie. Rookies tend to look like garbage (ex. L. Collins for New York). Cornerback is one of the hardest positions to learn and adjust to at the next level. You were one of the many posters trashing him instead of encouraging him.

Do you remember his scouting report? High potential was written all over it. Great tackler, above average in 50/50 balls, very instinctive, solid in zone, etc. Those kind of CBs thrive in our system.

Yep, we're not going down that road again. Multiple times I've provided you with a link to a search result giving you literally every post I've ever made on Worley, yet you stick with your same viewpoint on the matter. Just gotta laugh it off at this point.

    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). • He was a more accurate passer at 56.2%. That's what I mean. Even by outlier standards, this dude was inaccurate. Closest I can recall to something like that would have been one of those GT QB's like Reggie Ball. Career 48.6% passer.
