Can't Preach It Enough: This Year's Going To Be Quite The Praise-Worthy Year For Carolina

From the Hornets drafting a Monk, to the Panthers drafting a Christian, it's fair I have the most high expectations for the both of t(hymn). A star from above blessed on two of Carolina's teams.

Both teams sacrificed their old ways, instead bringing salvation and hope during the off-season with solid additions.

What a year to be a Carolina fan of either team. Both have good chances of going far, God willing.

That is all.

Down I-85 in Raleigh I hope people will start paying attention to the Hurricanes.  The addition of Scott Darling as our new starting goalie, Justin Faulk leading our stellar young defensemen (Slavin, Pesce, Hanifin, and Fleury), and adding Trevor van Riemsdyk as depth defense that was desperately needed, the Hurricanes are on the cusp of being back in the playoffs after what seems like forever.  The NHL draft is tomorrow and even after a few trades there are a good number of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks.  Now would be a good time to hop on the bandwagon.  If all three Carolina teams don't make it to the playoffs this year I will be greatly disappointed.

I am so ready for the Ward era to end. It's been way overdue.

The extra fluffy posts over and over again is just as bad as the negative and bitter ones. Where's the middle ground? This is getting beyond annoying.

They absolutely aren't as bad as people that are constantly negative

I don't want to get in a huddle war with either, but Fiz for example has been just as cringy as Saca lately. Both started out great, but now both have gone way out there. Complete polar opposites. Yes, its equally annoying.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
