I've never heard about a player begrudgingly hoisting the Lombardi trophy...

Why can't you guys think there's a middle ground to this y'all are jumping ship and killing yourselves before anything has even happened what if we find someone who's just right then all of this death and despair talk was for no reason I think you're just going from one extreme to the next in your head when it doesn't have to be like that and I keep seeing people do this FOR NO REASON

to be fair, there is rarely a "middle ground" with emotionally charged topics are at hand. plus people have to take to extremes like Bronn when trying to make a point.

i mean, i want a GM who aggressively pursues UFAs and has awesome drafts every year and rips off other teams with one-sided trades and is able to keep all of our iconic players around and on good terms until they're ready to retire and also signs our young promising players to cap-friendly deals.

why am i all alone in thinking that would be great.  it's bewildering.

Nonsense. We just fired the most successful front office person in franchise history. This franchise has been nothing short of a joke under Jerry's watch.

Kerry Collins, our "franchise QB", called  Muhsin Muhammad the N word. He formed an alcohol problem and said he rather retire then play another year for the Panthers.

We traded multiple first round picks for Sean Gilbert.

Rae Carruth

First team in NFL history to lose 15 straight games.

Jerry's ego forced himself to fire HOF GM Bill Polian.

He tanked the 2010 season and completely screwed John Fox.

Have never had back to back winning seasons.

Ran Julius Peppers out of town.

Kris Jenkins, the best DT in football, demanded a trade because he couldn't stand JR.

Finally, Jerry was able to get out of his own way and hired Dave Gettleman. Gettleman was exactly what this franchise needed. Enough of this country club mentality where all of Jerry's pets got paid.

We had a hell of a 4 year run. Dictator Jerry is back and we are in for a long awful stretch of Panther football. Enjoy

We traded multiple first round picks for Sean Gilbert. Name one team that hasn't screwed up a trade

Rae Carruth How is this JR's fault?

First team in NFL history to lose 15 straight games. Tampa Bay Bucs in 1976

Jerry's ego forced himself to fire HOF GM Bill Polian. Bill wanted a new challenge anyway

He tanked the 2010 season and completely screwed John Fox. This one is on JR

Have never had back to back winning seasons. I'd take 3 straight division titles over this any day. Ask the 2007 Browns how good it feels to have a winning season

Ran Julius Peppers out of town. Actually, Hurney didn't want to pay him what he wanted!

Kris Jenkins, the best DT in football, demanded a trade because he couldn't stand JR. Kris didn't like Fox either

i've just read so many times on this board that a jar of peanut butter could win a lombardi trophy with a roster of cam newton and a couple of years of drafting every "raw but with freakish talent" skill position prospect that everyone loves in the first round that i don't know what to think anymore.

No, the jar of peanut butter has to be a jar of mayonnaise from up north and if it says "bup bup bup" in a press conference then pledge undying loyalty to it no matter how bad its first three drafts were

Again, I keep hearing "lost a step" and "past their prime" with no evidence.

You're the kind of people who put your parents in assisted living facilities!

At some point in time, everyone has to be done. I agree with that completely. But I have seen no evidence that the guys in question are even close to that.

We're talking about probably the fire-iest dude on our offense apart from our QB, and a guy that played in a Superb Owl for us with a broken arm.

Loyalty gives them some cred, but goddamit any amount of reasonable money you spend on that kind of heart is worth it.

You really don't want to go to that "hur dur bring up evidence" part, because I got plenty that TD is slowing down.

Thank God you're nowhere near the FO of this organization.

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
