Freeman in the Protocol

top dawg

So should I be like every Falcon fan and say "hur-dur Freeman's just one concussion away from ending his career?"

I hate seeing anyone in concussion protocol, but far too often I see "Luke's just one hit away from the Panthers LB corps sucking" like they're wishing for it to happen.

Here's to Freeman getting healthy and remaining concussion free for the rest of his career. Screw anyone who wishes a concussion upon anyone.

Well I think most reasonable people don't want him to suffer another one, but you just never know. I told you last week that I am a little nervous about Luke. If my running back is more prone to concussions, I'd hate it. I can't help but think of Jahvid Best. Luckily for the Falcons though---irrespective of the contractual implications---they have Tevin Coleman.

Aaron Rodgers was one concussion away from supposedly having his career end back in 2010.

He's still playing strong today. What's to say Luke can't do the same?

Wasn't it you that made the thread that said if Luke had another concussion his career was likely over? Was that sarcasm?

Yes it was.

Probably should've made it more obvious. Luke isn't going down that easily. Yet everyone seems to think that he'll surely get a concussion next year and be out the rest of his life. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Ok. Yeah, I thought you were serious. (There is a lot of alarmism on the huddle after all.)

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to mock your mockery.

    • His on target percentage is way down. 79% last year down to 64% this year.
    • I think we will surprise. We'll run all over them, and Dalton will be able to spread the ball around more effectively than Bryce. I just don't see a blowout like some are predicting. I heard the same thing about the Cowboys, but the Bills don't have anything close to Pickens. Not guaranteeing a win or anything, but it is possible. It will be closer than people think.
    • If you look at almost all Daniels stats, they are as good or better than last year minus perhaps Completion Percentage. I don't think Daniels himself is having very much less individual success than the Redskins are reverting to the mean.  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts#wsh Barnwell wrote about them in the preseason as a team that had an inordinate amount of luck or success in one score games that wasn't very likely to be repeated.
