Inside Story: Julius Peppers Is Fully Engaged For A "Fun" Panthers Season

Looking around the Carolina Panthers locker room, Julius Peppers just can’t help but smile. In the background, he hears Greg Olsen spitting bars with Ryan Kalil recording, fully engaged in Olsen’s performance. He hears Cam Newton joking and hollering around, messing with anyone playing in Ryan Kalil’s P.I.G. tournament. He hears melodies of fun, joy, and laughter reverberating throughout the walls of Wofford.

Never in his life has he ever been in a locker room as fun or great as the Panthers team he’s with now. At long last, Julius Peppers is finally home, and he’s glad to be back.

What are Julius Peppers' thoughts on the Carolina Panthers? How many rings does he expect to retire with? How many sacks does he expect to get, and who does he really want to pass on the all time sack list? That and much more, all right here in my best work so far:

*Special thanks to @SIGCHI222 for the information provided above, including some he revealed to me exclusively through PM. All thoughts and information come from SIGCHI222’s reliable source, who also broke news one day early of Julius Pepper’s deal.

Are we really citing people from the Huddle as credible sources now?

I hope all this is true but to go off of one guys word and write an article off of it is a bit premature no?

The news about Julius signing in Carolina got out wayyyyy prior to a day before so I hope this isn't what we're all basing our trust off of.

Igo and I have both written an article based on his words for the front page. He's not lying nor making anything up.

@*FreeFua* by the way, can you cite me a sure article that says Julius Peppers to Carolina was a done deal before @SIGCHI222 broke the news?

I'm telling you the news was out there just like SIG is telling you all of this, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I'm just saying, citing a random huddler is a bit risky no?

I could not agree more. This could be total nonsense. Wading into the waters of fake news here.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
