Panthers @ Saints

So, I just bought tickets to the Panthers @ Saints game in December in New Orleans.  I'll be in Section 307, which is the "Loge Club Level"... has anyone ever seen a game in the Superdome, and if so, do you have any suggestions?

This will be my first ever away game as a Panther fan...

Keep your belongings close to you at all times.

Not kidding.

The 300s are good seats. Makes visibility pretty easy for the whole field. Arrive early. The lines can get long. The food inside is pretty basic stadium stuff. I would recommend eating beforehand.

Have fun. The majority of the fan base loves a good time and friendly trash talk. Obviously, there's some assholes in the bunch, but we enjoy tourists.

As much as it does pain me to say it, be careful venturing off too much from main streets and crowds. The crime has gotten pretty bad, of late.

It's been awhile but I went down back in 09 for the Kasay FG for the win game.  Won the div... blah blah.

Fans were great, congratulated us and were genuinely pleasant.  The city smells of piss and wretch but the booze is strong the drinks are cheap and the oysters are good.

Went last year.  Made a fake account on saints report or whatever and got killer tickets for face value, suck it saints fans... new orleans is fun, but smells like piss even when you're drunk. I'd say stay a little ways from bourbon. It was quiet where we stayed near the conference center and casino.

We always have a night before get together and a tailgate party. We have a good group in NoLa. However, most of the skirts like @toldozer stay out too late on Bourbon and aren't man enough to get up to tailgate. Losing that hour in Central Time kills them.

The city doesn't smell of piss. The Quarter does, in certain areas (mainly Bourbon, which will probably still be tore up by the time the game gets here), because you damn tourists come down and the drinks are strong and cheap and they piss and throw up everywhere.

Good job not getting upper bowl. The upper bowl seats are VERY steep, to the point it makes me nervous standing up.

Just remember, that the Superdome is in a bad part of town. If you are driving, pay to park as close as possible. If you are taking other transportation, just stay in a group.

New Orleans can be very fun, but keep an eye out. Don't get blackout drunk, and keep your wallet in your front pocket.

.

I mean, I wouldn't walk over there at night, but there's nothing to worry about (out of the normal NoLa BS) on game day Sundays.

The Superdome is in the CBD. Not a bad part of town, at all.

    • I have no problems with difference of opinions.  Difference of perspective.  Perspective is everything.   The statement you made was false. Period. So sorry that you don't like me calling it out.  Frankly, Frank,  I gave up on seeing anything eye to eye with you when I was a much younger man.  Nothing I said was a personal insult, so get over yourself.  As far as comparing rosters.  I just dont give a fug.  There are no 2 rosters in this league that are built the same as far talent and contracts. Every team is on their own journey.  Is our passing offense far from desired? Yes, we can agree on that part, but not on why it has struggled.  I wish we could easily just drsft all the talent we need, the the NFL doesn't,  and hasn't worked that way.  Dan Morgan did a fantastic job at bringing in talent along the line, and retaining talent along the line. We needed it also, as we used every bit of the depth we had, most of the season.  Unfortunately we were relying on a receivers room that their average age is less than my oldest son, and that is NEVER a recipe for success for the group.  The constant shuffle at online was horrible. Despite how horrible it was, our online actually performed well above expectations for what they went through.  We also need our play caller to attempt to stick to an offensive identity.   Unfortunately,  Dave C. didn't do that, for whatever reason.  Hell, the online was the highlight of our offense this season. Wished the rest of the offense performed as consistent.  He'll, wish our defense performed that consistent.  I'll give you credit, for not dropping to your expected behavior in your response.  Congratulations.  Have a goodnight.
    • Linderbaum is also a pretty specialized center based on his size and strengths and im not sure he would be great here.
