Uh yes, the Pats again tried addressing their need at DE with Rivers. If him getting hurt is somehow their fault then I guess we could revisit how we spent a 1st rounder last year on a guy who has been injury plagued.

The people like yourself that keep bringing up the SB as a defence of Ealy really need to open their eyes and see the bigger 3 year picture vs one freaking game. Then again, you're also justifying jumping up 8 spots while wasting a 2nd rounder, big picture isn't exactly this fan bases strong suit. I guess if we can't win the big things let's celebrate the small things? Panthers fans mentality

So Gettleman moving Ealy to move us up to select our much needed OT after getting the best out of Ealy (this is why the SB is mentioned, because he peaked for a monster performance before falling off again) is bad... how? He moved on him after just 3 seasons, one of those again with an SB MVP level performance. Pats threw their first pick in the draft at us to move out of the 2nd and into the 3rd. Their pick is out for the year. Our's is pushing to start.

The Ealy pick didn't work out, but after we got his best he was traded for draft real estate. Would you have rather we gotten nothing out of it?

Big picture is that Gettleman cut bait early and got the team an OT after getting killed over not overdrafting one.

Oh noes, our 4th string DT was hurt!! Big difference between that and a replacement for your starting DE.

Ealy is essentially Gettleman's case study as to how overrated a GM he truly is.

Apparently there are reports saying that Panthers also put in waiver claim on Ealy.

Turns out they didn't.

Seven teams made waiver claims on Kony Ealy

Seven total teams made waivers claims, according to Jane Slater of NFL Media. Beyond the Jets, who secured priority (sucking has its privileges), the Cowboys, Giants, Buccaneers, Washington, Lions, and Cardinals.

    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
    • oh now that's what you call Mother Fiuggure fans the ones that always have this fierce protective shield around the team no matter if they win or lose  & to be honest there is nothing really wrong with being a Mother Fiugguer fan they just have a different meaning or sense of what a true fan really is                                                 ☺️
    • I'd gamble, miles josh green and 2-3 firsts especially if we could trade both this years and 1 future
