Well, as it turns out...

It is a good thing Atlanta did not play in New England last night, as they would have had a good shot at winning.

Imagine the story lines if Atlanta went into New England and defeated the Patriots. I would not be able to turn on any sports show all weekend.

Blessing in disguise.

Now the excuses about not having  one or 2 wrs have been the reason on sports shows. Plus no Pass Rush

Except the Falcons don't have Eric Berry, who absolutely shut down Gronk, and the play Hightower got hurt on might not've happened, which after he went down the Cheifs scored 21 points.

Falcons still might've won, but the Cheifs and Andy Reid match up with the Patriots better than any other team.

Falcons would have had a good shot at winning. That New England defense looked suspect.

I sniff that a dynasty could be coming to an end.  They got extremely lucky in the SB that the Falcons imploded.  Last night they looked pretty average at best.  Still a long season, but for the Pats to lose at home on opening night is a big deal.

I enjoyed every second of the game and thank God football is back! :)

It is a long season, and we've seen the Pats get their poo together before and finish strong. Time (and injuries) will tell, but giving up 42 at home does give me hope.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
