Week 2 Win Against Bills: First Carolina Win Without a TD in 14 Years.

14 years...  This is according to Chris Rose on NFLN btw...

Again, 14 years...  That is inexcusable.  Too bad Rivera and Hurney lack the guts to make the move that needs to be made.  Can't wait to see some more CMC direct snaps tossing it to Stew with 11 defenders in the backfield, or ANOTHER run on 2nd and 1, then again on 3rd and 2.

It's also the 7th time the Panthers began 2-0. Made the playoffs in all but one season.

Also the only team currently in the NFL whose opponents hasn't scored a TD yet on the Panthers. Last team that did so was in 2010.

Also one of 7 teams in NFL history to hold opponents in the first two games to a combined 6 points or less.

Also the first time in franchise history the Panthers shut down opponents by 3 points or less in the first two games separately.

Sure, Shula sucks, but we 2-0. Defense is amazing. Offense has potential. Lighten up.

I'm well aware of how good the defense is but, they won't be able to carry the offense all season.  I gave Shula plenty of chances during his time here and was hesitant to ever bring out the pitchforks and torches, but enough is enough.  His calls are predictable, he does NOT play to our strengths, and he rarely ever allows our offense to get into a rhythm.  Being 2-0 will afford him more time, but I'm concerned the pressure he is putting on the defense will eventually affect them as well.  He also isn't doing Cam any favors...

Olsen was a major factor in the offense his ability to pull LB or S in coverage freed up a lot of room underneath.  Saints defense should be a good opportunity to regather the offense.

What's more maddening is Cam's inability to  change the play calling for deep routes knowing a blitz is coming down.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that means the last game we won without a touchdown was the game against Tampa in '03 when Pep blocked the extra point.

Yes that sounds right.  Funny how much better that win felt because it was against the defending SB champs in their home opener.

This defense can and if they stay healthy can really make a difference.

But until Coach Klein (See 1998 movie Waterboy) I mean Shula stops being scared and opens the goddamn playbook and uses the freaking weapons he has our defense is going to wear the fug out.

Every quarterback should be able to read the defense, shift players, and change plays when getting to the line with 5-7 seconds remaining on the play clock.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
