Baldy on a Cam sack

You could have Peyton Manning in there with Vince Lombardi helping them to read it, but Cam's just looking through new hat catalogues.

Of course Cam isn't blameless, read his presser and you'll see he takes all of the blame.

But I don't think moving on from Cam is the answer at this point. Do you?

There needs to be a shake up, and unless you somehow think Cam should be replaced, it starts with the coaches.

Actually, I don't want us to move on from Cam. I want Cam to dig down and bring himself back up. It can be the difference between being a good QB that people every now and then say, "Remember back when..." and being one of the legends of the game that are relevant decades after their playing time.

Ali was always a champ, but he didn't become a living legend until after he'd had to earn his title back the first time. Montana and Elway both had seasons with injuries and getting beat up behind a bad line, both fought back and had their biggest seasons. Legends refuse to let someone else write their epitaph.

But there are dozens upon dozens of McMahons, Dilfers, Pastorinis, Bartowskis, McNabbs, Esiasons and Whites that never broke through the walls that landed in front of or on top of them.

The question is, will Cam get through that wall. If he can, then he can be the kind of QB that can carry a team to the promised land. If not, then we're going to be talking about how good he could have been but... for the next decade, long after we've forgotten the names we're blaming today for it.

Wow. That is really bad. Couple that with the others sack he took when Russell Shepherd was wide open running those crossing routes. Maybe Von Miller really did break him (thanks Remmers and Shula).

It' just so sad man. Maybe he just doesn't trust his shoulder? IDK, but we aren't going to win many games this year if Cam does not get his head into it. Defenses aren't even trying to disguise their blitz anymore against Cam. Just look at that DB's stance before the snap.......dead giveaway he's blitzing.

I just don't think he trusts what he's seeing. Mental reps are a fallacy. You can't get by with months on end of mental reps for a very physical process. A week or two? Sure. Month after month after month? Nope. This is what you get when you try.

He's in his 7th year. Lack of practice is no excuse for a lot of the mistakes he's making.

That might be true for a 2-3 year starter, but this is Cam's 7th year. This should be muscle memory for him at this point.

I don't care how long he's been playing. You can't compete at this level when you haven't been able to fully practice in nearly a year. The game is too complex and it happens too fast. You're not thinking out there, you're reacting on instinct and that takes reps.

CTE can only be tested for in an autopsy. Hopefully he doesn't get checked for that for a while.

Well there has to be signs or symptoms you can look for..i just think something is not clicking...he said it himself in a interview he sees it but he just isn't  connecting..what was he referring to i wonder!

He's gotten more than enough reps for a 7th year QB. And it's not even close. Plenty of other QBs have come off injuries and been just fine without practice.

Shephard has two defenders barreling down on him waiting to smother him, Cam missed him clearly either way. I think with how incapable our offense is Cam is getting caught up in going for bigger play opportunities. That's always been our offense, going downfield. But we have a lackluster OL and receivers Cam is still trying to build rapport with.

But this play is just butt ugly overall.

Our whole offensive gameplan and approach to basic facets of football is just a steaming pile of poo for the most part. Every once in awhile a Shula play will unfold brilliantly. But everything and I mean f*cking everything has to go perfectly. There's zero margin for error.
