Dawg, you've been against many of our WRs at times for years now!

No. I've consistently said that we could do better about getting legitimate playmakers as opposed to JAGs. So, sure, I've been a vocal proponent of upgrading every position from the X to the slot at different times.  Was I critical of Philly Brown as a starting or slot receiver? Yes! Was I skeptical of Russell Shepard? Yep! Still am! Have I always supported Funchess and Benjamin? Sure have, and there are more than a few posts of mine that buttress that fact. So, no I haven't been "against many" of our receivers. That's not true. I've only been critical of two or three over the years, and that's because they were backup  level talent thrust in a prominent role.

I was just messin around because at times here with every single player most of us are critical. I mean damn the entire board is pretty much in agreement that Luke was horsesh(t today, and he was. But I definitely remember you calling out the entire wideout group in the past 2 years while we've had both KB and Funch--who aren't JAGs.

Well, you remember wrong. I may call them out when they need calling out, but I've ALWAYS been a supporter of KB and Funchess.

Now, since Funchess has shut people up, now some people want to jump on Samuel. We haven't seen enough of Samuel to even make a determination. I know that he was a playmaker in college with no injury history to speak of, so I will wait patiently (even until next season if necessary) to see what he's really got. I think that sometimes Rivera and Shula have held the new bloods back, but it's all good. They couldn't do it to KB because circumstances wouldn't permit it, so, like I said, I'll wait to see what Samuel has.

Yeah Worley's been meh. Surprising tbh after what I saw last season, but it is what it is.

Funchess isn't surprising me. Figured he'd be a huge threat.

CBs take time unless they are elite. The judge is still out but remember it took Josh Norman awhile because he didn't have elite speed and knowledge.

It would be foolish to give up on Worley at this point. A lot of players take until year 3 to break out. Josh Norman and Greg Hardy come to mind.

The biggest difference this year is that he's actually playing to his size. Previously he was always a big WR who played small. He's playing big this year.

This is the biggest difference.  I thought he was going to have a breakout year last year but it never materialized.

Could it be that Proehl just wasn't that good a coach or maybe didn't push him hard enough and Taylor is just getting more out of him?

I honestly don't think any of our WRs really developed under Proehl.

Yeah, in hindsight I agree. Really not sure where all the praise originated but I'll admit, I got caught up in it for a minute.  I guess maybe the '15 season without KB, got the best out of Ginn and got a serviceable year out of Brown is where it came from but not sure it was warranted.

You held your own, kid.  Talked about how Funchess would ball out this Season.  And so far, we all have to agree.  You predicted it, and he has.

Also, lets just ignore your prediction on Worley balling out.  Because he's been bad.  Less than good is a nice way to put it.

I’m glad I’ve started him the past two weeks on my FF team. He’s producing right now.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
