A Picture is Worth 1000 Words

Yep

Benjamin could’ve sat there and picked his nose for the 6-7 seconds it took everyone else to get down the field for all I care. He was lined up and ready when the ball was snapped.

It was Shepard that caused the false start and no one else

To really get down to it, it's wasted timeouts that really killed us there, as usual.

Yeah but an extra second or two may have allowed that play to work.

Meh.  No excuses for any of them.  All the big slow lineman got set.  Another WR fugged up too.  He shouldn’t get a pass when the lineman can get it done

Sheppard fugged us

I don't think this picture is just about KB or even just about this play. I think it just reminded me of seeing alot of the other players in the game, they seem lost, confused, no energy or spirit. Something is missing and I don't know what it is.

Even if KB is doing the right thing, he doesn't appear to have any sense of urgency and not even looking at or trying to purposefully hand the ball to the ref as quickly as possible. The refs appears to be doing everything he can to get the ball as quickly as possible, and Kelvin is just holding it and looking the opposite way with less than 10 sec left. I don't think you can excuse him from this instance.

Look no further than Shula.  There is no situational awareness on the offensive side of the ball.

No rush, no clean run 2 minute drill.

We can't even get plays to the huddle on time, how on Earth do you expect us to get ready for a last second field goal down 14?

I'm not sure why people don't get this.

The last person that needed to rush anything was Benjamin. The line of scrimmage is where he's standing.

Uhh, Scot... The ball needs to be rushed to the hash mark to be snapped, and KB had absolutely no clue what was going on. That was a seriously inept play by KB after the catch. He was strolling there like it was the first play of the game, not with time running down fast and no TO.

This is what our entire offense is doing, and not just on this play.

What does it matter if the rest of the team is still way downfield?

THIS is the point i was trying to get at . This moment is like a microcosm of the whole game/way the team performed . Like they're lost and don't care too much.

Did KB know that? No because he was staring in the direction towards the endzone. Like I said in response to the other guy in this thread, just because the rest of the offense was inept as well, doesn't mean KB can be excused here.

Lol I’m pretty sure KB new the rest of his guys weren’t going to be down there at the same time as the man who caught the freaking ball.

hes standing at the LOS

It had nothing to do with kb, and people saying this obviously didn't watch the play. KB was one of the first ones set on the line, they barely got the ball off because of the lineman and others being slow to get downfield then Shepard not getting set and getting a penalty was the ultimate nail. KB could have ran over and put the ball on the spot himself and it wouldn't have mattered.

are you familiar with the term, "scapegoat"?

KB and Worley are responsible for most of the problems in huddler's lives.
