Do you understand what an emergency option is? Aguayo was there in case Gano couldn't play. Aguayo is on the practice squad anyway so it doesn't really matter.

I knew Butker was gone the minute he hit the PS.

 

Gano has been awful the past few years lets be real. He can't stand the Panther pundits (I don't blame) but it looked like we had this young healthy proven kicker who could be our kicker for the next 6 or 7 years but nahhhh lets play the heartwarming game of keeping "our guys"

 

We have lost many points because of him or because Ron didn't trust him. Plus we never go for it on 4th if were just outside of his range. We punt it into the end zone. 20 yards ahead.

 

Butker and Agueyeyeyeyeyo are some of the most proven NCAA kickers in quite sometime. Obviously Butker is the more consistent steady hand. Ageuyoyoyo is known for his tremendous leg.

 

Its not like Gano just has a problem missing at a certain range. We've missed XP, 30 yards, etc.

How was it stupid? Kasay became poo at kickoffs, but was still great at field goals. Lloyd was a weapon for us.

Just the fact that I didn't have to hold my breath breath every time he went up to kick a field goal was well worth it. Perhaps this is in retrospect,  but you don't miss your water until the well runs dry.
