I re-posted that I made an error on the fox comment. To be fair I don't think anyone could of stopped Larry Fitzgerald that year - matter of fact no one did. That was easily is second best year of his career.

and again your argument was that GM/HC combo of Hurney and Rivera are not a good combo. Which I do not understand what this argument's purpose as I type this out.... In 2017- they are 6-3 and soon to be 7-3 and that works for me.

Fox's strategy basically let Fitzgerald pick his matchups. It's quite literally one of the stupidest things I've ever seen in 40 plus years of watching football.

As to this season, Hurney can't really be credited with making this roster, only tweaking it. The draft and free agency were handled by someone else.

Why am I not a believer? Because I've seen this movie before. We're capable of beating bad teams (and yes, both the Falcons and the Patriots fall under that designation this season) and might even make it to the playoffs. But barring something strange happening, I don't see us being able to hang with a legit playoff team.

After this year, Marty gets to remake the roster in his own image again. And that likely spells doom. But as before, Hurney likely won't be held accountable for mediocrity because Richardson thinks he's great.

People wanna be excited about a maybe shot at a one and done in the playoffs followed by another long stretch of almost 500 seasons, that's their right.

Not me.

I'm gonna use that AceBoogie logic here, why does OP hate everyone except for Wilks and Cam Newton? Hmm, I wonder...

What do Cam and Wilks have in common that Rivera, JR, Shula, and Hurney do not.. hmm I can't quite put my finger on it

lol

Swing and a miss at a ball in the dirt 10 ft in front of home plate.

Wow hahahahaha.

Quote by Ron Rivera in his press conference about the Carolina offense.

Here we are, in November, going into Game 10...

"Still feeling our way around."

Man, taking a quote out of context to throw shade at Rivera. Isn't that what you claim the media does to Cam? And if I remember correctly, you hate how the media treats your Auburn brother.

Everyone that has been paying attention knows this Offense just went under a rather yuge adjustment. Adjustment, you know, that thing you claim Rivera doesn't know how to do. And because after the first week it wasn't a total success. We get this low ball post.

When I close my eyes, and think real hard. I can almost picture your head banging on the desk top. lol

Again, if this is what they wanted to do with the offense, WHY DID COACH GENIUS WAIT UNTIL GAME TEN TO DO IT, COMPANY MAN?

I repeat, was there some sort of NFL rule or contractual obligation that they run the same crap on offense in Games 1-8 just because Kelvin Benjamin was on the team?  Or was that a fugging coaching decision?

Rivera still trying to get out of that wet paper bag I see.

Man if you wanna see an actual HC do his thing watch those Patriots videos on YT "Do your job" and football life and such. Can't even hate them anymore, Rivera too damn stupid to come up with the poo that Bill throws away much less actually does.

When you watch how they prepared for the play that won them the SB against the Seahawks it's obvious how/why they always win. They knew that play could come and in those videos they show them talking about it and practicing against it. Lots of other good ones to watch too like Walsh, Madden, Lombardi(duh).

I hear you. Who is your favorite football team? Or should I say who do you root for?

So you're not mad that RR said they're still feeling their way around on offense, you're mad that they tried to make it work with KB up until the trade deadline?

So what's your solution? Fire him and then what? Find the next Bill Belichick? Rivera is a good coach that a lot of other teams would love to have and I highly doubt Marty Hurney would find someone who could do a better job. Unfortunately I don't think many of you are going to realize that until Rivera is gone and some other guy you'll all soon want fired replaces him.

Just because the adjustment wasn't made earlier, does not automatically make it stupid, or late, or lame. Seems like the Coach Genius is willing to change after all.

Everyone could see our Offense was struggling. They make a yuge adjustment to remedy that situation. And after one week where it didn't go off like fireworks. You are all in a huff. So much so you were willing to misquote Rivera.

Let me repeat that. You were willing to misquote Rivera just to make your Anti Rivera Fan Club happy. Where I come from, we have a name for folks like that.

Company man. Is that like Gman nuthugger? Or Hurndog apologists? Seems you are just attacking folks that don't fall into your Anti Company Man line.

    • And once again I showed you it’s been pretty even. We spent 2nd and 3rd rounders this past draft on edge rushers. No one’s going to sit here and do the math on a draft value chart etc. the only reason I even entertained this was because you said we’ve spent nothing on defense when that simply isn’t true. It also didn’t help we traded our ONLY WR worth a damn to trade up for Bryce soo… And this is kind of the issue with the anti Bryce crowd. This crowd tends to blame him for the trade up. I was team Stroud. Had the panthers not taken Young the only other QB they were going to take was Richardson. So your issue should be with Tepper, Morgan, Fitterer not Bryce.  Bryce is who he is and it was pretty obvious who he was during the draft process. Bryce is slowly developing into that guy most thought he’d be. Give him a WR like Jamo and this offense as a whole would improve greatly.  Anyone thinking he was the next Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen is clearly slow. Bryce was always going to need pieces around him much like EVERY other QB Burrow has Chase and Higgins and they’ve done nothing. After losing in AFC Championship in 2022, Burrow is 17-15. QB’s need a team around them It’s why a Jalen Hurts led Eagles team dismantled a Pat Mahomes led KC team in the SB Imo the QB’s doing the most with the least up until this year have been Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson  This year it’s Drake Maye and Josh Allen  Outside of the 3-5 elite type QB’s I’m not really sure what people expect here. Is Bryce ever going to be in that elite category? Nope. Should we punt on Bryce and keep swinging? I don’t think so. Should we keep swinging while hanging onto Bryce? Yeah but I don’t know what that looks like This team as a whole isn’t very good. Offense and defense and that’s the simple truth
    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
