I'm not holding my breath on getting Ryan back.

The guy is on the wrong side of 30 and he's only appeared in 10 of a possible 26 games in the past two seasons. I think it might be over. The guy is just plain fragile at this point in his career. His body just can't take it anymore.

Maybe but still better than Green Bay, Seattle, Houston, and so many others.

The Saints lost some guys today.  Not just Glass-hon but some others as well.  We’ll see how many miss time.

This is the type of win that's indicative of a special season... Saints are having things go their way like we did in 2015 and the falcons did last year. Hope that stops soon

I refuse to believe that. The Redskins had every opportunity to win that game and just did NOT pull it out. There was not one game for us in 2015 that was like this one. Hell at one point all they needed was one freaking yard and couldn’t freaking get it. The fact that the Saints stopped them doesn’t mean they are like the  2015 Panthers or 2016 Falcons.

See if he does it again next year. One year does not a great QB make.

But if so, lmao Browns forever. Finally had their franchise QB sitting there and passed on him.

Browns could have taken Watson this year aswell. They had their chances to get a good qb and they blown it.

Nah, the Saints straight up beat us.

Still, I'm not all that bothered by either the Saints or the Eagles losses. They're two damn good teams. No shame there. That fuging Bears loss though... I really hope that doesn't come back to bite us in the ass, but the playoff race in the NFC looks like it's going to go down to the wire and the seeding is going to be very interesting and likely very important.

Steelers also lost to the bears and they look like the best team in the AFC Right now so poo happens we just have to get over the bears loss cause nothing we do is going to change it.

Carson Wentz looks like he could be a roadblock to the NFC championship for the next dozen years or so.

meh everyone thought the same thing about Dak last season

The Eagles have had a pillow soft schedule (not their fault obv) plus Wentz always seems to have the cleanest of the clean pockets.

He's a good QB to be sure but I take everyone crowning him the next Aaron Rodgers with a grain of salt.

Who are we pulling for tonight? Is there any way they can both lose?

Obviously we hate Atlanta being in our division and all, but the Seahawks are right on our tail in the wildcard hunt.

I'm not even sure I'll watch the game tbh. Probably my two least favorite teams in the league besides the Broncos who are actually more watchable because they're a dumpster fire this season.

I'm pretty sure we'd want the Falcons to lose since we arent out of the NFC south race and they aren't either. Saints should have lost last week and they could lose at Rams and vs us, and they still have to play the Falcons twice. They also have only 1 NFC loss, 1 divisional loss, and only 1 more in the loss colomn total than we do. The last thing you want is the Falcons to pick up steam and string together a bunch of NFC wins to end the season. They could actually pass us if we lose to the Saints and the last game against them, and they run the table. Could single handedly steal the division away from the Saints by beating them twice and have the tiebreaker in wins over them even if their record is the same at the end.

i’m not watching the game but if Barnett beat Byron Bell I’ll have to put an * beside the sack

Despite Pep’s HOF credentials he’s disappeared against no name tackles before.  Barnett’s motor never stops and in the voice of the late Dennis Green, Barnett’s bend “WAS WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WAS!”

No diss on Barnett but his strip sack was pretty much Byron Bell utterly failing at his job.

In the 4 weeks prior to utterly destroying Byron Bell and the Cowboys as a whole, no player in football had more QB hits/sacks than Barnett’s 9.  http://theeagleswire.usatoday.com/2017/11/06/eagles-rookie-derek-barnett-is-already-a-force-to-be-reckoned-with/

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
