Kelvin tore his meniscus

I hate it for him.

In terms of the trade, we could have done a little better,  but in hindsight we did pretty well considering his injury history. It turned out to be a fair deal.

I think he's a solid receiver when on the field,  just not first round material.

If you watch they weren’t mental drops or lack of effort. They were throws designed and muscle memoried by Cam to hit KB.

agreed. what i'm saying is there were 2 separate throws where Devin came back to the ball to help Cam out that definitely would have been intercepted had KB been on the receiving end.

Do you remember that time he went up over Sherman and Chancellor. In the middle of the field on a 50 yard bomb and came down with it?

That alone, speaks volumes to what you say. I would have bet money no other wide receiver would have come down with that ball.

Gif that poo up then. Cause I have no recollection of anything close to what you are saying.

Doesn't really matter.  We still have no one to replace Kelvin.  We are a team with one wide receiver right now.  Until one of the others steps up or we sign someone else, that is going to be a liability.

Yep, and I don't know if Funchess is healthy after last game. If the Saints get Lattimore back for Sunday  and Shula keeps jamming stew up the gut for 2 yard gains or losses, we're going to be up poo creek very quickly vs the Saints.

IMO its going to take a near Patriots caliber outing to beat the Saints. They are probably buthurt that they lost the Rams ending their massive win streak and they'll want to take it all out on us to keep the division lead.

KB is in transition he is still an excellent receiver and target.

I love Funchess, though he was a great pick and asset. But there were two drops by him around the endzone that KB would have snagged in the same spot for sure. That hole in the scheme is present. There must have been some serious locker room stuff to make us trade him away.

Lmao and there were 6 plays Funchess made with his athleticism KB could only dream of making.

when cam threw 1 ball that was initially beind funchess last game I thought it was going to be a pick 6. But Funchess works back to the ball, snatches it, and sprints down the sideline. I'm not sure KB would have made a play like that, he might have half heartedly stuck an arm backwards and tipped that bitch up in the air for the Jets to pick off.

Look I love KB, I want nothing but the best for him and I wish he could've worked out here some way

But let's not pretend KB was automatic. He had his fare share of drops.

I don't know about 6 but in the game thread I pointed out 2 plays where Devin was able to come to the ball and make the catch, and I don't think Kelvin could have done that (too much weight heading down the field?)

I wish Kelvin the best.

Funchess might not have Fitzgerald hands but neither did Benji. The huge atvantage Funchess has is that he's much faster or more agile with the fooball in his hands . KB could sometimes outpower or fling dudes away but rarely could he manuever around them and have alot of YAC to get TDs on his own most of the time.
