I could careless about jump ball skills if u can't run routes, get open, have concentration issues, situational issues, conditioning issues, and straight up show lack of effort sometimes.

Funchess has not had the opportunity.  The entire board has been over this over and over again.  He has always been better suited for the X receiver role.  He is getting his chance.  And is going off.

 

i hope everyone on the roster shows out.  I love them all and hope we build off today and kick ass.  I hope short finishes with 12 sacks.  I hope Turner never gives up a sack.  I hope Star stuff Every run at the LOS.

Not only that but he has 4 sacks this year and that is 6th among DTs...regardless 4 -7 sacks a year is TREMENDOUS production for a DT and you crave those players as a DC. Nevermind the rushes/disruption he causes when he doesn't get the sack as pressure up the middle is the hardest to deal with for a QB.

Short had 2 sacks today, star was disruptive as well. We got close to 200 yds rushing today.

My biggest want this offseason is a true burner at WR a la Ted Ginn. If we can go into next season with Funchess playing the 1, Burner in the 2 and Samuel in the slot we could be devastating. 

Also a young TE Olsen can groom would be fantastic

I love Short.  Played great today.  But he def hasn’t earned his huge salary this year.  Not to say he can’t turn it around though.

hes supposed to be a top pass rushing DT.  He has just 4 sacks, one of which was given to him today despite Peppers sacking the QB today (he wasn’t called down).  Im hopeful he plays more like he did today for the rest of the year.

I’ve said over and over that he played well today.  He has 4 sacks on the year. 2 today against backups.  That means he has 2 total over 11 games.  He’s being paid 16 mil a year.  He needs to get more pressure than he has over the course of the season.

So impressed with funchess, I think he's the truth and can still get better...might have a top 10 reciever on our hands! Feels good to have so many weapons its just too bad our oc is so inept such as imo cmc didnt get enough touches today exspecially short receptions in the flat in space!
