Cam, CMC , Stewart, and Funchess Stats Through 13 Games

Thought I'd make a thread for the stats for our top 4 offensive playmakers.

Cam Newton

402 passing attempts, 241 completions, 60% completion rate , 2720 passing yards, 17 TDs to 12 INTs , 6.8 yards per attempt (career low)

100 rushing attempts, 585 rushing yards, 5.9 yards per carry , 5 rushing TDs (Can you believe he had 14 fuging rushing TDs his rookie seson!? )

- Cams on pace for a career low total passing yards, but his completion percentage is tied for the 2nd highest its been in his career. Hes on pace for a career high in rushing yards. Quite literally our most lethal threat on the ground and through the air.

Christian McCaffrey

90 rushing attempts, 319 rushing yards, 3.5 ypc, 2 rushing touchdowns

2nd half of the season rushing stats : 41 carries /202 rushing yards /4.9 yards per carry

67 receptions, 519 receiving yards, 7.7 ypc , 4 receiving touchdowns

838 total yards from scrimmage, 6 total touchdowns

- I think he will get right around 1000 yards from scrimmage to end the season , probably 450 rushing yards and 620 receiving yards. Rushing stats could be better and now even stew has the exact same YPC (3.5) albeit stew has exactly double the amount of carries (180). I think 1000 yfs and about 8 touchdowns is very very solid contribution , not anything that amazes or blows you away tho.

- I think he still goes down way too easy on first contact most of the time, but hes gotten better at making those 2 yard gains, 4-6 yard gains in the 2nd half of the season.

- McCaffrey is still our total yards from scrimmage leader, and tied for 2nd on the team with stew in total touchdowns (Funchess leads with 7)

- McCaffrey has just 10 more receptions than funchess now lol.

Jonathan Stewart

180 rushing attempts , 634 rushing yards, 3.5 ypc, 6 rushing touchdowns

2nd half of the season rushing stats 70 carries/ 305 rushing yards / 4.4 yards per carry

6 receptions, 49 yards

683 total yards from scrimmage

- Interesting he has the exact same YPC as CMC now. He's had two great games (vs Dolphins, Vs Vikings), Im not sure what to think about his rushing performance on the whole. Probably need to re-evaluate when the season ends since he's been turning it on lately and the run blocking has been improving. Both CMC and McCaffrey are averaging well over 4 ypc in the 2nd half of the season.

Devin Funchess

97 targets, 57 receptions , 762 receiving yards , 7 receiving toucdowns

762 yards from scrimmage

- Been turning on the damn Jets ever since KB left. Killing it! on pace for right around 1000 yards recieving and 10 receiving TDs , which is incredible

Wow our offense is trash....those are like 2nd or 3rd best stats on teams without Shula as OC.

Actually it's our 2nd and 3rd options after that which are no where to be seen.

Fun at 22 out of the top 40 on there. He's tied for 8th with a lot with 7 TDs which is good though.

Stew is 19th and Cam 25th. Stew tied for 9th in TD and Cam tied for 12th in TD

Yea Cam still needs more weapons.(Olsen not being injured likely has him up in there though)

What Cam needs is an OC who doesn't have a job only because of his last name. He will have plenty weapons next year with Funch, Samuel, McC, Stew, Olsen, Dickson and a solid all around OL with Ryan healthy.

I still want them to have a LT and another deep threat WR who has hands. IF Byrd can do that eventually then that work too. Have to draft DE as well as ours are grandpas(hope Peppers plays again even still though)

    • take a  look around the league at other young Qb's around Bryce Young's age group  such as Drake Maye , Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix , CJ Stroud  & Caleb Williams who at the time like Bryce Young they also were drafted also joined teams with a losing record .the only difference with these Qb's is after joining their teams with a losing record they led those same teams to a winning record in a very short period of time .it's simply what you call a game changer & or elite Qb's & then take a  look at  the other side of the coin you have Qb's such as Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields  & Anthony Richardson also like Bryce Young all first round picks who instead of winning either did not play or led their teams to a losing record while playing  just because Bryce Young was a #1 overall pick does not necessarily mean that he will become improve with time if history tells you anything it's matter of fact just the opposite . lBryce Young who has an overall record of 14-30 & wildly inconsistent & never in the history pf the NFL has a Qb 5'10" or shorter had a successful carrer as Qb in the NFL  you have to ignore alot of FACTS & be really ignorant to the FACT to think Bryce Young is the future at Qb if anything history is telling you exactly what ?..just saying

    • to me these two signings were so bad for the Panthers at the time of our young team. "Sean Gilbert was signed by the Carolina Panthers on April 21, 1998, after being traded from the Washington Redskins in a deal that sent the Panthers two first-round picks (Nos. 5 and 12) to Washington. The Panthers then re-signed Gilbert to a 7-year, $46.5 million contract extension on the same date"  The other was Jason Peters being picked in the First round of the 1998 draft. "Peter played for the Panthers from 1998 to 2001, appearing in 38 games (starting 20) and recording 88 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery His NFL career was cut short by a chronic neck stinger, forcing him to retire after the 2001 season
