Hope the Falcons and Aints tie

I'm sorry but I can't have any chance at all of the Falcons winning the division so it's either Aints win or a tie next week. If they tie and we beat the Bucs, then we control our destiny for the division but also a loss doesn't allow ATL to win it. If Aints win then we'd have to hope for Bucs to play spoiler against the Aints in week 17, although possible very unlikely. Best best case scenario is a Aints Falcons tie next week. Please football gods let it happen.

I dont think the Atlanta I just saw can beat NO at their place.  Just dont.

They were horsesh*t against a terrible team that had tons of very important players injured early in the game, yes. However, they beat NO in ATL with Matt Ryan looking like Blaine Gabbert. Ryan typically sucks but not that bad.

The annoying thing about they way it is...is that we look to be playing an NFCS opponent in the playoffs regardless....just kind of annoying as those games aren't like usual where we would be playing the Falcons who we beat twice or the Saints who beat us twice....

That is awesome

Not if you know football.

When you watch interviews from retired players they always hate playing a divisional opponent 3 times in a season. I've seen Strahan among others say this and it makes sense. We are saying the Saints can't beat us 3 times yet if we play ATL that means we beaten them twice....so that would then apply to us as well.

Don't like it

Still a chance we get the 6 seed and face the Rams if we lose to ATL. Not sure the Rams would be any better of a matchup with their Dline and playmakers, but NO offensive scheme is just a bad matchup for Carolina.

    • The escapism is really what's missing. I actually do think Bryce's awareness and ability to improvise on broken plays is above average--better than when he's throwing in the pocket because it forces the recievers to get seperation and within his line of sight. If he could scramble in the backfield like Seattle Russ until someone get open I believe he'd have the tools to be a franchise QB even with his noodle arm. He did that in college but it hasn't translated to the pro level.
    • You’re right, again on X, that’s what’s being said. Anyone who actually watched could tell that the Cards defense was different in the second half…until the game was on the line the last drive, then they went into first half mode.
    • The version of Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay now was never going to be that here. He got a very heavy portion of humble pie both with the Browns and us. That was a driving force in changing his career. And at the end of the day the Bucs are unfortunately a well ran organization. But Baker had already flashed his physical gifts and potential even with the lowly Browns. He just had to get out of his own way and drop the immature meathead crap. Too bad for Geno Smith and Pete Carroll. That wall comes fast. They are both past their expiration date. And as of recently some of Geno's comments sound like a guy rather full of himself. The league will be glad to humble you.
