Olsen was not an extension, only added incentives (which was not met).

Honestly, I think the most likely scenario is that Cam finally started swinging his franchise QB nuts around. It's been clear for the longest that this offense runs better when Cam is calling plays at the LOS. That stall and timeout after our first play from scrimmage in the wild card was just inexcusable, bush league poo.

Hurney has made some good moves since being brought back.  Hopefully this continues with the draft.

The Panthers had a good season and a good core, but the truth is 2 of our division rivals are still playing, and Tampa will be dangerous next year if there offense plays like they did at the end of the season and their defense gets better.

The NFC South is an incredibly tough division, and we need Hurney to make the right decisions (and the tough ones) to be in playoff contention again next year.

Extending Ron and letting Shula go is a step towards that.

    • At this point the Tepper's seem to be leading you around by the nose based on how much time you spend carrying water for them so I'm not surprised you're struggling. We are the only team who saw fit to install Andy Dalton with his zero career playoff wins as a culture cornerstone and a key mentor. Even the putrid Saints wanted no parts of that. Truth hurts 🤷‍♂️
    • They have drafted two QB's since they took Hurts in the 2020 Draft. Tanner McKee(6th - 2023) and Kyle McCord(6th - 2025). In that span we have drafted Bryce Young(1st - 2023) and Matt Corral(3rd - 2022). Technically, we have invested significantly higher draft capital on QB's(albeit one less than they). It's not the investement that is the issue, it's the results. Corral was literally not a rosterable player with a THIRD ROUND PICK. We gave up a king's ransom for Bryce to basically get Davis Mills results(so far).
    • No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.
