Turner through the eyes of people he's worked with

Mr. Scot

Watching this team have to hustle just to get the ball snapped before the play clock expires play after play after play...

It should be first priority to get plays in and get the formation set. How many timeouts does this team expend because they can't get to the line quick enough?

Remember Buck and Aikman talking about how we showed no urgency against the Saints?

Maybe the entire team (coaching staff included) will stop replay watching and get to the huddle and maybe create this little thing called tempo...

I kind of wish we could do like what happened with CJ and release Stew and sign him to a much more team friendly deal. I know it would likely never happen to be fully honest but it would be nice. This is assuming we don't get a bruiser RB in the draft or in FA or anything.

I don't think keeping Stewart is a bad option either.  I don't think he's worth 5 million a year, but if his deal could be restructured to lower his cap hit, I think it could be good for both parties.

CAP hardly ever sees the field so we really wouldn't miss his presence in the running game. If the team doesn't plan on using him more in 2018 than they did in 2017, I don't see why you can't keep Stewart (depending on the cost of course), CMAC, and draft a power back to groom as our feature back.

This would leave Artis-Payne and Whitaker as the odd men out. But, their absences wouldn't affect our running game, passing game, or anything we attempt to do on offense.

  1. Released Cameron Artis-Payne
    (Saved: $705,000)
  2. Released Fozzy Whittaker
    (Saved: $1,150,000)

The team could save $1,855,000 by releasing them. That offsets the cost of signing as new back in the draft if he's taken after the 1st round.

Too much on a Rookie.  Remember the bruising running back Eric Shelton from Lousville.  2nd round pick was supposed to take over for S. Davis?  That didn't pan out at all.  We cut Stewart and CAP doesn't take the lead we are screwed.   I personally think that Stewart will do much better in Turners offense than he did in Shula.

Not many thrived in Shula's offense.  Remember how everyone thought Smitty was done in Shula's offense?  Went to Baltimore and had a 1000 yd season.

I would give Stewart a rider and keep him.

Rookie RBs are usually the most pro-ready players in the draft. I have too many examples to list.

Agreed but some just don't pan out.   Probably for everyone you can post I can post a failure at the position.  My point is.  Stewart IMO isn't done and dumping him isn't going to improve us at the RB position.   Draft a rookie and give him time with Stewart.  Kinda like the ole Double Trouble days.

It’s funny how some put all of this on Turner. Cam needs to change too if he ever wants to be “elite”. He is way too inconsistent right now.  This will either be a train wreck or amazing and a lot of that is on  Cam.

IF Cam wants to be successful during the next decade, he needs to step up his game.

Honestly, l expected more consistency especially throwing the ball, from Cam at this point in his career. He's not even close to fulfilling his potential.  That is quite disappointing.

While some blame falls on Shula and Dorsey, Cam needs to be a pro, and either step up, or step aside. Harsh, but reality. Asking Cam to be a consistently good QB is not asking much. It should be expected out of him.
