Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent WR Jaron Brown (knee) is not expected to be re-signed. Arizona sports radio host Mike Jurecki believes Brown is due for a big payday assuming he hits the market.

Brown has been overshadowed by Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown in his time in Arizona. He is coming off a career year, though, tallying 477 yards and four touchdowns. He's not much more than a deep threat, but he has shown he can be fantasy relevant. He could be much more relevant on the right team.

If he really is due a "big payday" it probably won't come from us, but he's not as well known as some others so it's hard to say.

Knew it’d be Jaron before I even opened thread. Could be a solid option but could also turn out like Shep did or Underwood a few years ago...

I would rather make a run at Paul Richardson. if it's one thing Seahawks WR do well, they make Wilson look good. That's the type of weapons Cam needs

I brought Jaron Brown up in a different thread but I was bringing him up thinking that he would be a value pick up. If he is "due for a big pay day", then I'm not interested at all.

I think he has potential to be a very good #2. We have Funchess who also is/has the potential to be a very good #2 WR. Having two very good #2 type receivers would still be the best group of WRs that we have had in a long time. Even though they call him a deep threat, I don't really see him as a stright-line burner. He doesn't have Ginn type speed but also probably has better hands, better ability to find the ball, and runs better routes.

Yeah, I remember that. Some pretty mediocre players were getting max deals. Well, mediocre is being harsh, but definitely not the type of guys who historically get max deals that's for sure.
