Right place at the right time.  Ball bounce right into his hands.   I think they should have given him the MVP.  WTH I mean come on.   He recovered a fumble from the GOAT Tom Brady.  That clearly is justifiable reason to give him MVP honors.

I get the DG hate but it’s not like he drafted Dwayne Jarrett or Everette Brown with our first pick...CMC did good work for the Panthers.

Barnett lead the Eagles in percentage of pass rushing snaps he produced a sack or hurry.  That’s not even including the key forced and recovered fumbles and blocked FGs.  He was healthy all year and key in them getting the all-important #1 seed.

Simply put the Eagles were last in the East last year and won the Super Bowl after taking Derek Barnett with their first pick.  Philadelphia had never won a Super Bowl and Derek Barnett has a ring in his first year there.

I still am miffed as to why people continue to defend Gettleman though. He ultimately did us a disservice.

You might be right, but I think it's possible there was a direct order from JR to draft CMC. Now whether or not Gettleman disagreed is a different question.

For a guy receiving a direct order he was sure grinning and singing his praises after the Panther's selected him. Also, was it someone else's fault that the Panthers selected two backups in the first round the two years prior?
