If I’m them I keep him as insurance for Wentz until they make sure he’s 100% coming off the ACL tear. Then if Wentz is good and the trade deadline’s approaching with calls I’d trade him but let Foles approve of any team he’d be going to.

I doubt he goes anywhere. I know teams are desperate for a QB but why trade a high pick based off of 2 games?...

Well actually it's more than two games (even this year).  He had an outstanding TD to INT ratio the year he played for the Chipper during his first stint in Philly.

Sounds messed up but I might would trade Wentz.

Wentz has the highest QBR in the league before he was hurt, but he has a reckless Cam Newton playing attitude but he’s not Superman and will get hurt again and again,.. mark me.

if I was Phily, I’d field offers for Wentz. Some team will offer up a couple of first round picks or more.

Nick can excel for another 6-7 years with them, only 29,

They're keeping Wentz. There's zero doubt about that. I hope Foles can find a team to finish his career with as a successful starter. You gotta pull for the guy after that SB performance.

The downside to this plan is you have to take a deep discount on a quarterback at the trade deadline. You could get much more now as your trade partner will see it as a 2018/19 move. You wait for the deadline, he's got the learn offense, etc. and they see it as a 2019/20 move and offer less. Perfect example was the Pats only getting a 2nd for Jimmy GQ when they should have gotten a 1st.

Yep I agree.

tongue in cheek but I would hit up Buffalo for those 2 first round picks.

Foles has more than two good games.

But even accepting that premise, It's not so much that some teams are desperate. More so that some teams are stupid.

Several years back, the Raiders overpaid for Super Bowl MVPs two years in a row, and neither truly earned their contract.

Lord knows the Raiders of the past were a prime example (these days, Reggie McKenzie actually seems to know what he's doing) but they're not the only ones.

I won't be surprised if somebody makes them a good offer.

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
