Jason La Confora: "hearing that Park Avenue is putting pressure on [Panthers] to go outside the organization for their hires and make this go away."

Nope. I don't claim no know anything about him at all. None of what you mentioned here are facts.

Everything I've said here refers back to statements that have been made by people with direct knowledge of Richardson, statements that are also consistent with each other.

If you want to say that those statements are false, then you too would need a direct source.

Do you have one?

If you don't, you're basically just playing the "I don't believe anything I don't see myself even if a hundred other people say it" card.

Companies pay out claims everyday for no reason other than it is cheaper. The company I work for does it. Our attorneys tell us to do it, the claimants attorneys primary argument is that it is cheaper for us than the expense of defending against their clients claim and the bad PR. People are always after a dollar from "the man" for no reason than "he has it and can afford it"

Does anyone on the huddle know what "allegedly" means? IF Richardson or Hurney are guilty of the accusations against them then they deserve what is coming.

Richardson is selling the team.  There is nothing the NFL can do to him.  Except perhaps turn info over to the cops if there is something illegal. But that is unlikely.

Not claiming them to be false or true. Thousands of people have worked for Jerry Richardson. You're going to believe the extremely tiny amount that have said some stuff anonymously through the media, knowing full well that they are likely to be disgruntled employees for whatever reason and have plenty of motivation to make things up or stretch the truth? And even the things that were claimed were not significant in the least.

Richardson will Only do what's best for the team if someone else forces him to.

Other than that, he'll just continue to live in his own deluded, narcissistic little world where Marty Hurney is the best GM in NFL history and nobody else comprehends his genius.

You sound like you were the one fired,  instead of your bygone hero Gettleman.

Why are they "likely to be disgruntled employees" other than that's your judgment?

"Thousands of employees"? Great. What percentage of them were attractive young women?

That's really the only subset that's relevant to the harassment complaints. Nobody has alleged that Richardson asked Thomas Davis how he got into his jeans this morning (or whether he shaved his legs).

When you got the same stories being told by multiple people (and if you read the Sports Illustrated article, it's not just "an extremely tiny amount") you start to put two and two together.

And yes, if my daughter's boss talked to her that way, I'd find it quite significant.

Except non-disclosure agreements of this sort are required to be reported to the league. It's part of the personal conduct policy.

The Panthers paid out hush money and wrote up non-disclosure agreements four times without telling the league.

I'd say that's a trend.

Logic.

Well of the 2500 restaurants he owned I'm fairly sure a damn large percent of them were "attractive" young women... You know, waitresses, hostesses, bartenders, etc.

It's pretty embarrassing that you're basing all of this off of one article in from a failing magazine.

If my daughter's boss talked to her that way I would recommend one of two things. Tell him to stop or leave the company. Simple. Nobody's forcing these people to hear Jerry Richardson talk in a way that may offend them. Words like that from someone are largely insignificant.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
