NFC Possible cuts

For the right price, I would take Scandrick or DRC. Same with Nelson, Cobb or Marshall.

Bryant is too much headache and too expensive, Quinn I suspect will get a bigger contract that he deserves, Austin really doesn't seem very good, Avril has an injury that makes him a big risk, Sitton/Veldheer/Iupati I wouldn't be against but I suspect they will end up being price prohibitive. This draft is strong at OG, so I lean towards drafting rather than signing.

I know I'm in the minority with this but I would really vet and have a long sit down with Eli Apple and think about signing him.

The Giants locker room overall was a mess and he had alot going on but still has a load of talent. I think we have enough leadership to really support him and get him back on track

But from a lot of accounts Apple WAS the mess.

DRC is still worth a roster spot, Scandrick is not IMO.

He won't be cut but I talked about moving a 6/7 rounder for Su'a Cravens to improve safety depth and help

Doesn't he contemplate retiring and leaving football behind like every other day?

I mean, I get it I'm not hating on the guy. There's a lot to consider there and if you don't have a true passion for the game and you've already pocketed some good money then maybe the risks aren't worth it for you. But, would I trade anything for him? Nope.

Yeah I'm usually in the camp that if you have questions about playing then you don't need to be on the field.

He tried to come back but then the redskins just told him to take the season.  In recent years only 6/7 rounders that have worked out are Harrison(with another team) and maybe armah. So I'd rather move it for a 2nd round safety and see what happens then draft players who the odds are stacked against them to even make the team

Given that Tavon Austin did very little last year and his price could possibly be quite low I would take a chance on him if the deal is really friendly.  He'll never be a high volume pass catcher but he can still make plays.

hes still going to demand 3.5-5 million, not worth it

I see this logic, but I think Samuel is developing in that role.  He is the type of value we need to look for though...

I'm sure he was part of it but Apple doesn't play offense and the Gaints was just trash in general after MaGoo took over.

A long conversation would be had and he would have to earn his roster spot but I would talk to him to see where his head is at.

    • Well yeah. Last time vs NO if we had had good QB play and half ass pass pro it is a different game. And that is the story more often, in point of fact, than the two or three hero games everyone wants to use to define the player.  That box was so stacked against the run it was basically impossible to break through it, you had to go over and around. It is what we knew was gonna be employed by teams and we were unable to stop them from doing it.    I am real interested to see the first 3rd and 8 and see how NO defenses it in the back end. Because they can look at that Rams tape and learn, but will they have enough fear/respect that it can happen to them or will we need to prove it again before they do?   Most people don’t learn from others’ mistakes and  need to make their own.
    • I like that Tillis is so down to earth  we will see where it goes ill say something controversial on a day that, along with next week, determines the panthers 2025  and 2026 fate  he referenced ‘money ball’, statistics and self scouting multiple times. it really makes me feel that Bryce will be back regardless of what happens over the next 4 games as that is the smart move for financial stability but by no means does that guarantee Bryce anything past that.  They will improve year over year regardless of position or who is affected       however, they will do the appropriate diligence and not cut off their nose to spite their face….it won’t be an emotional decision…unlike us Huddlers….for example, if Young’s happy ass shits the bed today, I’ll be less than pleased ..particularly having seen what they will do and having a bye week.  Brandon Staley is a good defensive coordinator and former HC.  His defense is aging but he can still develop a good game plan
    • Something like 24 now. The first 6 minutes were fun, after that, oh man. It was cool tho, a near capacity, with both teams well supported.
