  1. 1. Is it possible?

    • No, he'll be off the board

    • Possible, but not necessarily our primary need right now

    • Possible, and a good pick because we need someone to push Cam (and maybe start in 2019 or late 2018)

I do not understand the WR talk at all. Why convert a Heisman QB to WR in a league where playing WR is getting harder and playing QB is getting easier? Madness, IMO.

I need some more info on this. That's a very bold statement. I feel like these work hand in hand. A good WR makes a QB's jobs easier (See Foles) and a good QB makes a WR's job easier (See every patriot WR and Jimmy G. with 49ers).

We are in a league that is full of bubble screens, quick hits, and drags. Not sure how that makes it more difficult on the WR's.

No reason at all to make this move unless the plan is to demolish the roster and start rebuilding. We need a backup QB but not a potential replacement QB. I suspect Jackson will end up as a top 15 pick because so many teams are hungry for QB's this year.

Also, I think the talk of him moving to WR is pretty goofy. If people question Jackson's ability to be an NFL QB for the reasons that they do, I do not understand why they go ga-ga over Darnold or Allen. None of those three is a surefire HR as a QB prospect in the NFL.

QB is the biggest roll of the dice in the game.  The only way you spend a first round pick on a QB is if you don't already have one.  We have one.

I don't disagree that we should always be alert for the opportunity to pick up a QB later in the draft, but he first couple rounds should bring us players who will play for us next season.

    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
