How many hours per day do you speak face to face with another person that is not your family?

My job is a higher level technical person,  all online or phone.

I work in a very tight group of 40-50 people so maybe an hour or so.  I also carpool with my coworker a lot.

Anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, to over 8 or 10...depends on the day.

I work for a branding agency so am always talking to the designers and creative director throughout the day. It'd make my head hurt to try and come up with a total though.

A lot. Most days I wish I didn't have to talk to anyone and could get some other poo done but its always meetings, meetings, meetings

7-10 but I'm an actor/director/writer. It's what we do.

8 at least. I deal with the public. Specifically criminals. It’s interesting if stupidity interests you.

I guess my main point was just alluding to the fact that it appears to me technology may be keeping people from interacting like they used too.  My teenager is staring at her phone constantly, my son's on his ps4 for hours, etc, etc.  That was the (failed badly) point I was getting at.

In my humble opinion, not very much has changed.

Do we look at a phone more than we did the daily newspaper back in the day?  Are you on a PS4 more often than you practiced piano, or some other instrument back in the day, or holding a fishing pole, or golf club?

I think what we are doing/looking at to pass the time has changed, but we are still just passing the time.
