Mister won't sleep until he feels he's wrangled the group opinion in line.  Be careful or he will throw italics at you.

I don't really care if people agree with me or not. This isn't a popularity contest.  If it were, I'd always go along with the majority opinion.

Reputation on an internet board is not that important.

Lying about and being patronizing toward fellow posters is not how you get it either. in fact,  it's how you lose it.

Your own posts are on record. I'm comfortable with what I've stated.

That's probably more true than not.  I choose to believe that Cam has had overall good QB play (though some may disagree), certainly enough to win more than we do,  so I can't help but start looking at other reasons for arguably disappointing seasons, or at least seasons where expectations weren't met.

Cam has won nearly 58% of his starts. For the overall franchise number to be 46%.... that should tell you something. Seasons like 2010 and 2001 can move that needle too.

A team needs to get 8+ picks per year since the new CBA in order to maintain a young core of talent. I have made this point every off season. It goes beyond just the draft pick. This is the main capital in the NFL to stock a roster, and you can clearly see now the youth gap from the past 4 off seasons on the Panthers rosters. The 2011/2012 core is getting older with no apparent young leaders ready to step up and carry the team.

Hurney will infuse the young talent into the team like he has in the past. The Panthers desperately need that to happen in the next 2 off seasons.

That's  a good point that I hadn't even considered.

I think that we do have some younger talent,  but as of now the only one that I would characterize being a leader that's closest to being ready to put the team on his back is CMC. I don't put a lot of stock into our corners.  Butler and Hall are unknowns.  Funchess may do it. He's still comparatively mighty young. The team is getting old.

Selective memory at it's finest.

Agreed. The past regime left us with a roster that’s pretty old. We’ve got to get young quickly.
