Doubt we get him now, he is going to go for a lot more then $7m a year now.

Torrey Smith trade looks better by the day.  I'd rather have Poe though than another WR though.  Cam has proven he can turn a ragtag group into a decent unit, and honestly Torrey Smith, Funchess, Samuel, and Byrd and draft pick isn't the worst group we've had by a long shot...  Samuel and Byrd definitely have more potential than some of the 3rd/4th WR's we have had...  And Bersin & Clay sure ain't getting picked up by anyone if we need to go down those roads again

It's about having proven playmakers. Torrey is proven. Still need an option. We're in it to win now and past this "potential" bullshit. Want proof? We were rolling with Vernon Butler and Hurney came out of left field with Dontari Poe. We're in it to win now. Unless he's got something up his sleeve for safety, we will have no choice but to go with one at 24 no matter what's on the board.

Crabtree ain't coming here...  Torrey Smith was our "big" FA WR signing...

Still am happy with what Hurney was done in FA overall so far...  upgrading Worley & Star with Breeland & Poe and not breaking the bank was huge...  Hate on Hurney all you want, and there are no guarantees guy won't get hurt but as of now, all 3 moves (T. Smith, Breeland, & Poe) were the mark of a savvy, veteran GM.

We still have to sign a decent safety IMO, even if we sign a veteran guy on the cheap and kick the can down the road again on drafting a guy high.

Don't know how the draft shakes out, but S, DE, WR, and RB are our biggest remaining needs.
