I think it’s funny that a team trades up like that to possibly get the 3rd best QB in the 1st...while I think they might still end up taking the first QB off the board, this kind of trade isn’t one I would have made until draft day

So essentially, Richardson and their 2 this year and next, secured them a top 3 pick to get themselves a QB and a WR in Kearse

Only time will tell but if the Panthers traded THREE second round picks for moving up THREE spots in the first I would be pissed.  The talk isn't even positive about the top 3 QBs.

Ultimately, it'll be worth it if they land a franchise QB out of it. I just don't understand making this trade without knowing who's on the board. Cleveland very well could take a QB #1 overall. It wouldn't be a shocker to see the Giants take Eli's successor at #2. It also wouldn't be a huge shock to see Cleveland or the Giants work a trade of their own now that the Jets are sitting there at #3 definitely targeting a QB and other teams might feel a need to leapfrog them.
