No seriously it hasn’t moved on any tracking website since Hurney made all those dumpster diving moves. At this point I’m pretty sure we don’t have any cap left.

Are you a panthers fan? you sound negative as hell are you trolling?......what did you expect him to do with limited cap.

What do you mean limited cap space? Gettleman just got this team into decent posistion and in a few weeks Hurney put us into cap hell again. I’m pretty sure we are actually in the negative right now. I am absolutely a panthers fan. I am not a fan of some overplayed glorified shitty radio host thinking he can GM a NFL team. Especially when there were much better, much more qualified people interviewed, to appease the Rooney Rule at that.

Looks like we middle of the road in cap status compared to the rest of the league. That sh!t is going to shoot up next year.

I don’t call the fourth least amount of cap space BEFORE all the dumpster diving middle of the road.

So, what would you have proposed we did during free agency? Absolutely nothing? You have to spend money, as this is not the cap olympics. It does us no good to sit on the money, while not improving the team. We tried that after the super bowl in 2016, and went 6-10.

I didn’t say that, for the most part the decisions Hurney has made has been horrible so far and he’s been played multiple times. See foot injury not passing physical.

My point is right now we probably have one or two million in cap space IF that. It’s April. So we are either going to have to get rid of a big name player or go into the season without ANY money. If we get injuries we won’t even be able to replace them.

Its the same poor Decision making that fugged us 2010.

Chew on that for a while.

Facts don’t lie. And they have not posted any of those signings for a few weeks now. So yes I am right.

here is the thing, I never disagreed with you or said you were incorrect. However, your aggression toward my post seems a bit unwarranted. I think you are so jumpy to argue because you stand alone in an argument that is pointless. I believe you know this. Which leads me to question why do I entertain the moronic movement you encourage? I can simply admit reading your reply has convinced me you are either bored or lack the ability to converse with other humans. Hopefully, you are just bored.

Now, about us being in the middle of the road. This relative due to the fact there are 13 other teams within a couple million of us. Hence my statement of being in the middle of the road.

lastly, I am really not sure what you are trying to argue... so "shutup, you are coming off stupid. (Do we get any sort of souvenirs?)"

The nflpa certainly adjusted. It has 6 more contracts than a week ago. Pay attention.

When you look at the top 51 on Spotrac, it shows us with about enough cap to sign our rookies.  But if we needed to clear, say, a quick 9 million in space we could convert KK's base salary this year into a signing bonus, and distribute it across the rest of his contract.  That would mean we pay him 500K in salary and 3 million in bonus per year, which would lower this year's hit from 17 million to 8 million, but would increase next years' to 20 million.

There are a lot of games that can be played with the cap, and the Panthers' front office knows all of them.  If Hurney really did want to screw up the cap, you can bet he would be doing things like I just described and grabbing the expensive free agents.  Instead, it looks like he's plugging holes with JAGS and waiting to see what the draft brings.   That's a prudent approach, IMO.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
