The thing I like about Kirk is the surprising amount of polish for an A&M WR. He's strong, long, and explosive, but he's got twitchy hips as well and incorporates his head into his routes. You can whine about him largely playing him largely in the slot but it's fairly nonsensical to blame A&M for playing him there when you see him run more technical routes like the stick and the out-n-up so well. He ran a pretty extensive tree at A&M and runs physically with the ball in his hands.

You believe in the "Baby-Odell" potential. That does make it interesting.

Do you think he can be successful on the outside in the pros?

Yeah those great routes got him two tds this year. Y'all crazy to think he is the best wr in the draft. I don't think he is even top 5

Resident idiot doesn’t think Calvin Ridley is a top 5 WR in upcoming draft.

Shocker!

He had 5 TDs this year.  19 in his career.

Meanwhile, the 25 year old TE you're just dying to pick at #24 actually did only have 2. A grand total of 3 in his career.

It showed 2 on his stats when I googled him. Even at 5 tds he wouldn't be a first wr in last year's draft. I can't believe anyone would want this guy in the first. Oh that's rights it's because he is from Alabama. Guess what he will not be a Panther.

Hurst wouldn’t have gone over Hunter Henry last year and Henry didn’t go in the 1st round.

Just go away sanjay. You aren’t fooling anyone.

No Sanjay here bud. I watched Hurst's tape and he can do it all. Catch, Block, Run with the ball and is very smart. We shall see on Thursday night who is right!

I still cling to enough faith in humanity that I hope that there aren’t two people on this forum obsessed with the TE position with absurd tendencies to make bold definitive statements while rarely being right about anything.

YouTube highlights do not equal “tape”.

Maybe we do draft Hurst. If we do I hope he’s great. But I’m not dumb enough to make definitive statements with no inside knowledge on how we or any other team truly grades any of these guys.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
