Marty Hurney and Ron Rivera are both buffoons.  This poo is gonna get ugly.

Someone asked Marty if he feels confident he can get a day 1 contributor with the 24th pick and he meekly says "hope so". All anyone needs to know about his confidence right now.

I think y’all are reading waaaay too much into this press conference. These guys aren’t gonna show their hands a few days out from the draft. I don’t know how any one takes away anything from this honestly. I swear some of y’all love to complain just to complain....I can’t wait for the draft to see who the next great Panther will be personally!

After watching that press conference, I have zero faith in Ron and Marty to make the right pick at 24.

Yeah... I was all for giving this moron another chance especially after he kept ranting about how they needed to get better at the skilled positions (WR/CB).

After seeing what they did at those positions this offseason despite having so many opportunities to improve, I’m in the same boat as you.

Ron talking about the LG position "Obviously it's a question mark...we have guys that have started at that position for us and we've won games with them" (obviously talking about Silatolu). Sounds like Amini is strongly in the mix to start at LG.

No, Ron. Stop that right now.

It's worth noting that according to the draft pick value chart, #24 plus one of our 3rds lands us at around the 18th or 19th pick.

18 and 19 are Seattle and Dallas respectively, which are both in the market for a WR, as are the Panthers.

This interests me...

A while back, Voth was pretty certain we'd be taking a QB with a mid-round pick.  He now says he's "less certain" but that it could still happen. As to Anderson, a couple of different sources have reported that we want him back.

Also related: Remember how we also took Jimmy Clausen and Tony Pike in the same draft?

that was my thought--if Derwin James is there, do it.  If it is Calvin Ridley--dont.  I kept waiting for the third stooge to arrive with a long board and he keeps spinning around, hitting Marty and Ron in the head.  Then Ron gets mad and forks his fingers in an attempt to poke Hurney in the eyes, but Hurney cleverly blocks it with his knife hand running up the bridge of his nose.
