Gettleman was supposed to be the master scout as GM. That didn't work so well. That approach was in line with the build through the draft philosophy. But the drafts just weren't productive.

Valid point.

I fully expected no change with Hurney and coaching staff out if the gate.  It would be a mistake to make major changes this late.

End of the season...will be interesting though.

While no promises have been made (and everything could change based on this year’s results), Tepper has met with Hurney and Rivera, and seems comfortable with them according to people informed of the process.
