This isn't true. Not trying to be combative and love the work you guys do, but this is not true. They will spin it that way but it's not true.

Not trying to be combative either, but when Chris made the announcement this morning, he said that he had just signed a long-term contract with WFNZ last year and that WFNZ was amazing in understanding this move and not holding him to his contract. Also, I believe he said that the interview process began like two months ago or something. I think that's about the time that WFNZ switched up the lineup. So, what you're saying isn't accurate. I believe the main reason that WFNZ took it so well is that a relationship between the Hornets and WFNZ just opened up a world of possibilites (I know they've had a relationship before, but Chris will help bring it closer.)

He seems like a decent dude but the guy doesn’t really know a whole lot about sports (especially basketball) and is boring to listen to. He’s not very exciting.

Let’s be honest here, if you are forced to listen to the Hornets games over the radio then I guess whoever is calling the game doesn’t really matter because you have much more pressing needs you need to worry about.

Or you're in your car, driving somewhere, while the game is going on.

Great news for Chris. Some people tried to bring up that him moving to midday many weeks ago was done exactly for this reason. It was obvious even then what was going on without it being directly said. Enough hints were dropped.

Anyway, hate to see him leave WFNZ but he has been on the fast track to bigger things for awhile now. One of the most knowledgeable sports guys this city has had even at his young age. He loves the Hornets (NBA in general) and really knows his stuff and will be a great play by play guy for years to come.

Even though he has said he is staying involved with the station, the observer is reporting that he will be leaving the mid day show. I figured this was coming since they started bringing Jason Goff (who moved from Chicago) to co-host last week.

I didn't listen much last week but I read on Twitter that he was on Chris' show. Seemed like a trial run of some sort. Makes senses now. How was Goff? Did he move here from Chicago? He sent out tweet saying something like he had just returned home from being in Charlotte all week so I assumed he went back to Chicago. I know nothing about the guy though.

He wasn't bad from what I heard. He's a huge Chicago sports guy though (not like that's made a difference in the past at WFNZ...a lot of their hosts are fans of other teams), but it seemed like he wouldn't be biased...I mean, he's a White Sox fan so... Chris and him jelled really well, though.

I didn't read the article, but I know he's staying involved with the station in the fact that the Hornets broadcasts will be through WFNZ.

Good luck to him. At least that dumb ranch vs blue cheese bit will be retired.

It is so stupid. Blue cheese is superior, but who really cares what another grown man puts on his wings. Kroeger probably eats boneless wings anyway LOL.

I made the mistake of turning on FNZ for my commute home on Friday, and they were having a live on air spelling bee between Garcia and that other pencildick who runs the board and sounds like a 14 year old. Good grief. That station is so terrible and it’s probably only a matter of time before they have to reformat the entire lineup again anyway.

When I return to the country after prolonged periods away I find myself listening a few week. I can't listen to Kroeger or that other deep voice guy talk anymore. I don't mean to be rude or a jerk about it I just cant listen to them for long. They just talk to much and over people

I haven’t listened to FNZ but a few times since celania left

I wish I could say the same. I keep giving the station a chance, and they keep disappointing me, especially Kroeger. Bailey I must say I like.
