Last play of practice: Duke gets the better of Doss for TD and does a Smitty-esque ball spin.

 

You see DJ Moore make multiple catches on imperfect throws, think “that’s pretty good,” then remember those balls most be easy to catch considering the QBs he played with in college.

 

Captain Munnerlyn says he “pouted” too much last year over a lack of Panthers playing time, wants to turn over a new leaf.

 

Rivera confirms that holding Samuel out is precautionary based on large workload yesterday. And Manhertz had some soreness in his foot and will get an x ray

I don't think it's exactly correct usage here, but I get what she's trying to say.

"Uncorked" might have been a better 'cool word' to throw in here.

Do you think she has been holding that verb in her back pocket or looked up synonyms while tweeting it?

I figure she just used it because it sounded cool.

And to be fair, it's Twitter. Not necessarily the same standards of English you'd expect when writing a proper article.
