this offense is completely unrecognizable

The thing that has impressed me most has been the run game.  The scheme, the blocking, and the execution have been on point.

And...we are just getting started.

Also, to see Cam complete passes after rolling out of the pocket...crazy!  He converted two key third downs doing that last night.  I don't think he's had more than 2 plays like that in his entire career.

Turner uses th strengths of his players and designs a game plan around that.  Shula tried to force players to fit into a scheme.

Night and Day is exactly right!

I used to argue with a lot of people in the past on how our running woes weren't solely on the o-line. They used to say our o-line just sucked and how a different OC would still struggle. While they were partly right, I argued that the majority of the time it was the bad scheme Shula employed.

You are right, Norv's blocking scheme is just beautiful to watch! We finally have a legit running game that doesn't rely solely on Cam's legs.

Imagine even with the NFL's intervention through officiating, a world where we had Norv as our OC in SB50....  oh well, we are going to get this year, what was stolen from us in 2015.

Maaaan, add enforcer #89 to that mix, I don't think he let's all that BS go down without a good fight. Cam needed him that day.

I love how the offense continued to dominate without Cam on the field. That's good play design, good blocking schemes.

Neither team was running anything complicatd last night, defensively.

Honestly last night looked like two solid to good/great teams with coaches that clearly don't give a poo about the preseason.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
