CMC and Cam Killed It Despite the Loss

Just some positive stats for anyone who might be down about the loss.

- Cam went 32 / 45 passing (71% accuracy!!!) even with all those terrible drops. Might have been a career best game accuracy wise if there were no drops. This man also scored 3 TDs through the air.

- CMC went 8 for 37 rushing. Doesn't sound great but that is still 4.6 yards per carry which is great. Displayed incredible toughness and strength on various runs and runs after catch.

- CMC had an amazing 14 catches for 102 receiving yards. And had no drops in a game that was plagued by drops by other panthers players.

- For the season : CMC has 18  carries for 87 yards and is averaging 4.83 yards per carry. / 20 receptions for 147 yards

- For the season thus far : Cam 49 / 71 throwing with 69 percent accuracy. 3 TDs  to 1 Int (would be 0 int if not for CJ Anderson having a JStew esque drop-to-int )

* Also Oline did really well considering their injuries. Suprised how much time Cam had on some of his throws and good push for run plays .

* Defense admittedly had a terrible game, I'm hoping its a one off bad performance with them getting pushed around so easily on run plays. Good thing is the Bengals and Giants aren't world beaters and we have TD coming back after the Giants game.  If they can hold on enough for us to pull out two wins at home our next two games, then going 3-1 in that stretch is a huge victory.

* Saints and Falcons are also 1-1 . Bucs are starting off hot but I doubt its going to last, division is still wide the fug open.

* Oh yea ,and DJ Moore. Hes good. If we can actually start him and get Curtis back for the next game it could be key to getting our passing attack back on track.

Meanwhile, on the Atlanta board, instead of being human beings and condemning their cheap-shot artist safety, they are insisting that "Cam was hamming it up" and "flopping around like a soccer player" and that "the referees protect Cam too much".

That last one was fugging HILARIOUS.

Who the hell was the only Panther that stood up for Cam ???

He also caught a critical touchdown pass.

I still think he should be coming off the bench (along with Funchess)  with Curtis Samuel and DJ Moore starting on the outside.  Jarrius Wright starting in the slot.

And in the game thread I gave Smith all the credit in the world for that.

BUT I WOULD RATHER HE BE A COMPETENT DEEP THREAT, BE ABLE TO CATCH PASSES, AND BE A COMPETENT BLOCKER ON RUN PLAYS, NONE OF WHICH HE IS.

Plenty of Panthers stepped in. Torrey was the only one that did so in fashion that cost us 15 yds.

Dont get me wrong, I loved the body slam, but he cost us way too many yds on a game that was decided by one score.

He was also responsible for 3 penalties and is taking DJ Moores spot.
